NADA DATA 2008

Economic Impact of America's New-Car and New-Truck Dealers
The nation’s franchised new-car dealers sold 16.1 million units in 2007, down slightly from the previous year’s 16.5 million units.

This year should see a continued decrease of about 3 percent. The good news is the average dealership saw sales rise in almost all departments for the year.

Despite a slowing economy, declines in the housing market, and rising energy prices, new-car dealers were still able to sustain sales in 2007 that were just 2.5 percent lower than in 2006.

These findings, along with many more, are published in NADA DATA 2008, a comprehensive annual analysis compiled by the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA). The complete report appears in the May 2008 issue of NADA’s AutoExec magazine. (Click on the image above to download the report).
